The administration part is used to add, modify or delete products or services details with respect to the shipping, cost, discount, and other related items. The administration part can be accessed through a web browser or through a desktop-based application. And this area can also include and /or operate with autoresponder software.
Autoresponder software can be used to trigger “Thank you!” messages when purchases are completed. It can also hook shoppers and prospects who sign up on your website forms to automates series of messages, bringing people back to your site over and over again.
The actual shopping cart software allows secure transactions for the customers using credit card to make payments. A setup is done with the HTML code of the website to accept sensitive order information. The shopping cart software can be categorized into two types, i.e. the licensed software and hosted service.
The licensed software is downloaded from the Internet and installed on the computer, while a service provider, which requires payments on a monthly or annual basis, provides the latter. This software is also known as the e-store software, storefront software, e-commerce software or online store software.
