Your employer is supposed to get federal and state taxes?
I was wondering if your employer has to carry out federal and state taxes, or if it is optional, I'm pretty sure that is supposed to by law. I have my paycheck on Wednesday and not get federal or state taxes on it. I work for Applebee's and check for training and the week after it was only $ 102.68. I asked a friend of mine told me that the reason I did not draw any state or federal taxes could be because I did not do enough. Could be the reason?
It depends, if you own your business or get a 1099 at year's end, then no. But it should have been notified. If you filled out the standard form w4 then yes, but you may have checked the waiver by accident. Ask your employer immediately as this will affect your taxes.
